Laura Ashley Gatton, 27, of Washington Court House, died Thursday, July 5, 2012 at 7 a.m. as the result of an automobile accident on U.S. Route 62 at Tenny Road in Pickaway Co.
Laura was born March 22, 1985 in Xenia, Ohio to Jacqueline Harris and Homer Penwell. She was a 2002 graduate of Miami Trace High School and a lifelong resident of this community. She was a medical assistant at The Ohio State University and a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of Paul H. Hughey Post # 25 of the American Legion.
Laura was preceded in death by her step-father, Richard Lochbihler in 2011; her grandfather, Franz Wollscheid in 2010 and an uncle, Kurtis Alcala in 1991.
She is survived by two children, Landyn Michael Driscoll and Rayli Lacole Gray, both at home; her mother, Jacqueline M. Lochbihler of Washington Court House; her father, Homer Penwell of Sabina; a sister, Amanda Nicole Rainey of Boston Mass.; her grandmother, Roma Wollscheid of Washington Court House; step-siblings and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
A memorial service will be held Thursday, July 12, 2012 at 2 p.m. at the Kirkpatrick Funeral Home in Washington Court House with the Rev. Randy Lee, pastor at the Center Christian Church, officiating.
Friends may call at the funeral home noon Thursday until time of the service.
