Donald “Bud” Dwayne Graham, age 69, of Washington CH, passed away on Wednesday, November 28, 2012 at 2:00 a.m. at the St. Catherine’s Manor.
He was born on November 29, 1942 in Fayette County to Sidney Andrew and Lilly Mae Robinette Graham. He retired from the Columbus Showcase Company after 25 years of service and was in the US Navy during the Cuban Conflict. He had a love of woodworking, gardening, repairing lawn mowers and loved life in general.
Bud was preceded in death by his parents, brother Terry Graham and sister at infancy.
Survivors include his wife Sylvia Sue Sockman Graham, whom he married on May 7, 1977; his children Andrew Dwayne Graham of Washington CH, April Mae (James) Hobbs of Lucasville and Crystal Kay (Gary) Spurgeon of Washington CH; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; siblings Dennis (Brenda) Graham, Thelma Bunch, Gloria (Butch) Mundy, Sharon Graham and Lori (Richard) Ferdinandsen as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
The funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 1, 2012 at 12:30 p.m. at the Summers Funeral Home with Pastor Kenny Smith officiating with burial to follow at the Washington Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 4-8 p.m.
