Gov. John R. Kasich has denied a request for executive clemency from Frederick J. Treesh, who in 1995 was convicted of the aggravated murder of Henry Dupree and the attempted murder of Louis Lauver in Lake County.

Treesh is scheduled to be executed on March 6 at the Southern Ohio Correctional Facility in Lucasville. On February 8, 2013, the Ohio Parole Board recommended against clemency for Treesh by a vote of 11-0.

• Keep it clean. Avoid language that is obscene, vulgar, lewd, or sexually-oriented. If you can't control yourself, don't post it. Trust us, it will get the ax.
• Don't threaten to hurt or kill anyone. Even if you're joking. And speaking of joking, please be aware that irony and sarcasm don't always translate via the written comment. Better to be simple and straightforward than confusing and marginally funny.
• Be nice. Hard for some online regulars, it's true. Don't use racism, sexism, or any other sort of -ism that degrades another person.
• But mostly, stay focused and stay on topic.
