Serious Crash Involving Children

Police are investigating a serious crash in Highland County.

Leesburg firefighters responded to the scene of a serious accident involving children on Fairfield Road at State Route 771 near Fairfield High School on Monday afternoon.

Authorities said that the vehicle rolled at least once time and that at least one person was ejected from the car and was pinned underneath the wreckage.

Two medical helicopters were called to the scene and transported two victims to Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton in serious condition.

A third occupant was taken to Highland County District Hospital in stable condition.

The names of those involved were not immediately released.

The events leading up to the accident were not immediately released.
